The Campaign Against Forth Energy Biomass (CAFEB) has said that it wants to ensure that no large scale biomass plants are built while questions remains over the sustainability of such plans.
The members of CAFEB have already objected to plans for Grangemouth, but want to see local campaigns against plants in Dundee, Edinburgh, Grangemouth and Rosyth work together on issues of common concern such as the sustainability of large scale biomass production.
The group is also exploring international links.
A spokesperson said: “This isn’t just about four sites, and its not just about policy within Scotland or the UK. This is a global issue.”
